[Video] Andrew Bird – “Give It Away”

Andrew Bird’s new music video for “Give It Away” is a light-hearted story of a paper mache human pinata who performs at a children’s birthday party. Initially the children have some warranted reservations about this pinata person(the parents seem to have no qualms about his rather creepy appearance). The children eventually warm up to him when candy begins to fall out of his orifices. All jokes aside, the take is a sweet story with vibrant colors and great reaction shots from the party goers. One boy beats his insides out with a bat and the children save our entertainer by putting him back together. And all is well in the world.
