Kendrick Lamar is one of the most sought-out emcees in Hip-Hop today. An impeccable line of prior mixtape releases has created anticipation for listeners and fans all around with the same question in mind: “When is the debut album coming out?” Until now, Lamar has dodged questions at all cost about his debut album Good Kid in a Mad City. The Black Hippy took to Power 106 radio to announce the release date of October 2nd yesterday afternoon. Having already gotten a little taste of the album with “Cartoon & Cereal” and the Dr. Dre featured “The Recipe,” this is easily one of the most anticipated albums of the year.
UPDATE: In a recent show in London, Kendrick Lamar clarified his debut album title. Instead of Good Kid, Mad City, the debut album from the West coast native will be entitled Good Kid, M.A.A.d. City. Check the video out below!
