[MP3] Skrillex Ft. Wale – “Let’s Get Down”

If you can’t beat them, join them, right? With the undeniable mainstream popularity of Electric Dance Music with Skrillex at the forefront, dubstep and house music has remerged, and has no intentions of leaving. While many DJ’s have stayed with sampling rappers in their remixes and mash-ups, Skrillex has created an EDM hybrid, which I like to call “Dub-Hop.” Getting our first taste with Make It Bum Dem, a collaborative effort with Bob Marley’s son Damian Marley, Skrillex keeps the ball rolling by enlisting MMG’s higher than most emcee Wale. Not being unfamiliar with working with super Djs like Diplo, “Let’s Get Down” harnesses Wale’s flow with the energy of Skrillex’s beat, surprisingly balancing both elements from each genre very smoothly. While we only have radio rip for now, is “Dub-Hop” something you can get into? Definitely leave some comments on this post and let me know what you think.
